“5x5 Participatory Provocations” Opens
Co-curated by Associate Professor Kevin Erickson, the exhibition features models by 25 young American architects and was previously on view at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign; the Cleveland Urban Design Collaborative in Cleveland, Ohio; and the Rhode Island School of Design in Providence.
5×5 Participatory Provocations will be on view at Omi International Arts Center in the Newmark Gallery of the Charles B. Benenson Center. Omi Arts Center is a not-for-profit arts organization with residency programs for international visual artists, writers, translators, musicians, and dancers. Omi seeks to foster an environment of creative exploration and exchange, professional opportunity and exposure, and a stylistically and culturally diverse community for creative artists from around the world. Through its programs and public events—including residency programs, the Fields Sculpture Park, Architecture Omi, and Education Omi—it contributes to a vibrant arts culture locally, regionally, and internationally.
